Piston ring is the core component of fuel engine. The sealing of fuel body and cylinder, piston and cylinder wall has been completed. The piston ring wire will be high precision, high surface quality, high performance and high productivity with machining by the cold rolling mill. For example, wire for gas ring of piston ring, wire for rails of piston ring and lined ring wire, I section oil ring material for piston ring, and so on. There is some typical section shown in below:
The raw material of piston ring is steel like 6Cr13Mo, 55CrSi, 8Cr17MoV. The HRC hardness scope is 40-53, Tensile strength is more than 1200 MPa, the thickness is 0.8-6.0mm with tolerance ±0.015mm, the width is 1.5-10.0mm with tolerance ±0.020mm. The min. thickness can be 0.2±0.010mm which is the only supplier can provide this size in China. The max. line speed of rolling mill for piston ring wire is 300m/min even it needs cold drawing, heat treatment, payoff and take up. And for special section and material, we can provide customized design development for rolling process, roll cavity, heat treatment. At same time, we make sure all production process and final products high quality and under control followed with ISO9001 and IATF16949 standards.
The function of piston rill is sealing, oil control, heat transfer, guidance and support. The piston ring wire after cold rolled can accomplish these functions. So that it has wide application scope in automobile industry including car, bus and truck, even in construction machinery.
